Who is responsible

What we collect

When you fill in the request form we collect what you enter: name, email, phone (optional), dates of stay, number of guests, chosen boat and your message. We never ask for payment details on this site.

If you choose to message us on WhatsApp, that message is handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own terms.

Why we use it

We use this information only to answer your request and, if you wish, to arrange your stay. The legal basis is steps taken at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

How long we keep it

Requests that do not lead to a booking are kept for up to 12 months. If you book, the necessary data is kept for as long as the law requires, for example for tax purposes.

Who processes it for us

The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (USA), which also receives and stores messages sent through the form. Transfers to the United States rely on the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We never sell or pass on your data for marketing.

Map

The interactive map only loads if you press its button. At that point your browser contacts OpenStreetMap and unpkg.com, which receive your IP address.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of your data (Arts. 15–22 GDPR) by writing to houseboatsea@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
